Business people looking to meet and converse with Mayor Mary Giuliano and some members of Council will have the opportunity at 10 am on Wednesday, February 22nd, at The Fernie Heritage Library.

Coffee with the Mayor is an opportunity for Chamber Members who have issues to discuss, or would simply like to meet the mayor in an informal setting.

These seminars/workshops are FREE to all Fernie Chamber members- a great & valuable member benefit!

The first, hosted by CIBC on the topic of Retirement Planning, was held on January 26th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Park Place Lodge, it was a very interesting and informative session!

Next Chamber Luncheon- Feb 9th.

Please Join us on Thursday February 9th at 12noon, at the Park Place Lodge here in Fernie, for our next Chamber Business Luncheon.

Our speaker for this luncheon will be Nic Milligan from Teck Coal. Nic is the manager of community and aboriginal affairs for Teck's Elk Valley operations, as well as Cardinal River & Quintette. He will be giving an overview on the current state of Teck Coal, future goals, and their committment towards sustainable mining.

2012 Griz Days Parade! WE WANT MORE FLOATS THIS YEAR!!

The 2012 Griz Days Parade is fast approaching and we're looking to make it the best Griz Parade ever! But in order to do that we need your participation and imagination!!

If your business or organization is interested in being in the parade this year, please download the entry form attached to this post, fill it out and return it to us here at the Chamber as soon as possible!

This year the parade will be on the SATURDAY evening of Griz Days, which is a change from the usual Friday evening parade.
